Many folks know this festive dessert as “Buche de Noel” and some may know it as a “Yule Log.” Buche de Noel has evolved from ancient pagan winter solstice traditions of burning a large log for good luck and warding off evil into an edible sponge cake meant as a practical substitute for the hearth log thus bringing the tradition to the dinner table. Planted’s Buche de Noel serves 10 to 12 people.
